The Minister of Health and Population, Pierre Somse, launched on Friday 23 avril 2021 in Bangui, the work of a meeting as a prelude to the commissioning of the hemodialysis center, in the presence of a team of experts from Africa and France, in the field of hemodialysis.

This one-day workshop will allow doctors, to hospital administrators and managers who will work in the hemodialysis center, to be built and to come into contact with the technical assistance mission for the commissioning of said center.

Minister Somsé maintained that this technical assistance mission is in Bangui for the purpose of assessing the state of progress in which the preparations for commissioning the center and determining the road map for the center to be operational in a short time and in very good conditions.

The head of the health department reassured that the center will operate to save lives, and it is important that it is supported by more specialized and more efficient centers.

The government member subsequently considered, to establish a partnership with the Melin hemodialysis center in France, since the center of Bangui must in the long run, enable kidney transplant.

It is worth mentioning that since independence, the Central African Republic does not have a hemodialysis center. The commissioning of this hemodialysis center in Bangui will be very beneficial for the Central African population., in order to minimize the costs of medical evacuations abroad.
